Essex eCommerce firm appoints two senior team members to lead European services

Pro Carrier, the international eCommerce shipping specialist, and part of DG International Group, has appointed two new senior team members to lead its eCommerce cross-border shipping services in Europe. This is part of an ambitious long-term growth strategy to become one of the largest independent eCommerce cross-border shippers in Europe.

Lianne Robinson has been promoted to Head of Pro Carrier Europe. She was previously Head of Business Change and has over ten years of experience within the eCommerce, parcel and freight sectors.

Lianne will be supported by Mark Eldridge as European Strategy Advisor. Mark has previously worked at a senior level for well-known brands in the Netherlands, including Spring GDS and Post NL Cross Border Solutions, and spent over eight years at Royal Mail International as General Manager in Europe and Head of Commercial Development.

Discussing the European expansion, Lianne said: “These are exciting times for Pro Carrier and our European team. We have grown significantly in the UK over the past two years, achieving over 100% sales growth. Our team is in a strong position to support the rapidly growing European eCommerce market.”

Pro Carrier’s main clients cover the fashion, sports, and health and beauty industries, including some of the UK’s best known fashion brands, such as JD Sports, Ted Baker and Oh Polly.

Ryan Lucas, CEO of the DG International Group, said: “We look forward to solidifying Pro Carrier’s full-service parcel offering and expanding our European customer base. We are confident that we can provide eCommerce solutions for customers across the region and build on our international growth plans.”

Pro Carrier has helped eCommerce retailers to overcome issues around heightened restrictions and checks at UK borders following the pandemic and Brexit by opening lanes that were previously closed off. They have a unique partnership with Hurricane Commerce and AEB SE which enables Pro Carrier to significantly reduce delays caused by parcels held in customs, and allows them to provide live progress of customs clearances and delivery data for their clients.

This in turn has improved their clients’ customer experience as they can provide assurance that their items will arrive on time, and clients benefit from seeing all delivery and customs data on one platform.

As an independent company, Pro Carrier operates via a multi-carrier network to offer the best logistics solutions in each local market and can get new clients up and running quickly with their plug and play model. They focus on the consolidation of linehaul and collection routes across Europe to improve costs and transit times.
