Government encourages retailers to welcome food stamps

WASHINGTON — Attention food stamp recipients: Your business is appreciated. The Agriculture Department announced today it will encourage grocery stores and other retail outlets that accept food stamps to post signs reading “We Welcome SNAP Benefits.”
