Lake City Post Office to close in October

LAKE CITY — The Lake City Post Office will close in October — at least temporarily. The post office building, at 2114 Rice Ave., is privately owned and the U.S. Postal Service was not able to negotiate a new fair-market lease with the owner, a Postal Service spokesman said.
