Lansingburgh Post Office to honor former Troy mayor Mahar

WASHINGTON – A bill to rename the Lansingburgh Post Office in honor of Martin G. “Marty” Mahar was passed this morning by the U.S. Senate. Mahar, a decorated World War II veteran and former Troy mayor, worked for the U.S. Postal Service from 1955 to 1983 and passed away in 2007.
