Liverpool matchday programme to return as fans prepare to flock for dream title memento

Liverpool fans will be able to get their hands on a matchday programme for their remaining Anfield games this season.

The Reds are only two wins away from guaranteeing a maiden Premier League trophy and look set to finally clinch the title in the coming days.

Jurgen Klopp will take his team to Goodison Park on Sunday night for the Merseyside derby before Crystal Palace pay a visit to Anfield three days later.

Should they win both of those games then a first league title in 30 years will be assured, but it could be won earlier if Manchester City falter against Burnley on Monday.

Liverpool have four remaining home games left to play, with Aston Villa and Burnley to play, before their final home game against Chelsea.

Liverpool need two wins to be guaranteed of the title

And while fans will not be able to cheer their team on and celebrate the title inside Anfield like they would want, they will still be able to get their hands on a part of history.

That is because the club have announced that they will be making match day programmes for each of their remaining home games.

Each one will offer the usual insight into the goings on and the club, despite there being less activity than usual amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Liverpool FC said: “Premier League football is about to return and the official Liverpool FC matchday programme will be back to mark the conclusion of the 2019-20 season.

“Get your essential matchday programme fix for each of the Reds’ four remaining top-flight home games, starting with the visit of Crystal Palace on Wednesday June 24.

“With Jurgen Klopp’s side two wins away from claiming the Premier League title, make sure you’ve got your copy of these special edition programmes.

“Inside you’ll find exclusive columns from manager Klopp and captain Jordan Henderson, as ever, plus all the latest from Melwood, match build-up, in-depth opposition analysis and much more.”

Liverpool have still only lost two Premier League games throughout the whole of the last two seasons and have only dropped five points from 29 matches this term.

While it is not the way that the club and fans will have wanted to celebrate winning a first league title in 30 years, there is no doubting that magnitude of their achievement.
