Longtime greeter at Riverside downtown post office to retire (The Press-Enterprise)

RIVERSIDE – A familiar face at the downtown Riverside post office soon won’t be greeting customers anymore. Postal worker Fred Horchler, whose black eye patch and jovial demeanor help him stand out, is retiring Tuesday after more than 38 years with the U.S. Postal Service.
