Love is in the air in for Lover Valentine post

THE village cupids of Lover are gearing up for the most romantic time of the year.

The Lover village Valentine post service is in its 4th year and being a leap year the village is busy making it the most romantic yet.

This year will see the opening of the new Lover Darling Cafe and launch of new cards featuring their mascot Stanley the dog who was born on Valentine’s Day.

This year, Royal Mail has come on board as the 2020 sponsors.

Nick Gibbs, the chairman of the Lover Community Trust., which runs the Valentine Post, said: “We are delighted to have the Royal Mail show their love for our campaign this year and help us deliver our romantic service. We are proud to be famous again for this special Valentine service and look forward to processing a record number of orders this year”

Orders can be made online via lover.org.uk and the pop up post office at the Old School in School Road, which opened its doors yesterday (February 8).
