Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton are transformed into EMOJIS

If, like us, you can’t resist engaging in long text debates with your friends about Meghan and Kates’ wardrobes, your messages are about to get a serious royal upgrade.

The Cambridges and Sussexes have both been known to make use of emojis, particularly when sharing posts on their respective Instagram pages.

But now a technology firm has introduced a series of characters dedicated to Meghan and Kate, transforming the glamorous women into the popular mini icons.

Drkhors uses popular real photographs of the Duchess of Sussex, 38, and the Duchess of Cambridge, 37, to create unique illustrated versions.

These emojis are available by downloading two apps – Katemoji and MeghanMoji – which are available to buy in the App Store and on Google Play in over 155 countries.

Each features more than 100 emoji stickers as well as animated emojis, and phrase emojis in hand-lettering created by artist Cathy Yu.

Katemoji features a series of stickers showing the duchess in one of her staple casual looks – a blue and white striped jumper with her glamorous locks floating over her shoulders – posing in a series of fun poses.

These include holding a camera to her face to take a picture, demonstrating her love of photography, and a rather more imaginative shot of her wearing a face-mask.

It also highlights her role as a mother to Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, with the children also immortalised into emoji characters.

There’s an adorable emoji of Prince George in his dressing gown – a nod to the time he met Barack Obama before going to bed – and a cheeky shot of Princess Charlotte pushing her tongue out like she did at the end of a charity sailing regatta recently.

There are also emoji stickers and animations which hark back to some of Kate and William’s most iconic moments, such as their wedding day kiss in 2011 and the duchess affectionately placing her hand on her husband’s knee.

Meanwhile MeghanMoji is packed with adorable couple goal stickers of her and Prince Harry.

There’s a sweet animation of the duke kissing his new wife’s hand, and an emoji sticker of their first married kiss.

Another animation shows them cosying up under an umbrella, as they did during their royal tour last autumn.

Other emojis present an imagined image of their life together, with a sticker of the couple practising yoga and Meghan holding up a glass of red wine.

The Duchess of Sussex’s beagle rescue dog Guy also features in the collection, wearing a blue jumper emblazoned with the Union Jack in one particularly cute image.

There isn’t yet one of the complete Sussex family, featuring baby Archie, but we imagine after this tour of Africa one will soon be added to the mix.

A representative for Drkhors said the Kate emojis are inspired by ‘iconic and everyday moments we adore from Kate and her family’, while the Meghan series is designed to ‘celebrate Meghan [and] Harry’s love story plus their growing family’.

‘When I sat down to put pen to paper, I set out to create hand-lettered designs that embrace the distinct styles of Kate and Meghan. I tried to capture the emotions from not only seeing the images of these amazing women, but researching what people close to them have said about their character and their causes that are close to their heart. I sketched styles that I find embody their style, their strength, and their leadership,’ said artist Cathy.

‘Kate is an established fashion trendsetter. She is able to pair together high-and-low pieces that drive women to these brands which lead to sold-out styles. She’s classic and poised, with a modern take on traditional elegance.

‘With Meghan, I reviewed a plethora of images that showcased her distant fashion sense. I have been such a fan of hers since watching Suits. I was able to pull from memories of her style and consider its evolution. I was inspired by Meghan’s chic and polished look that still embodies the SoCal, laid-back attitude.’
