Meghan Markle ‘played Prince Harry like a piano’ – royal author

Meghan Markle “played Prince Harry like a piano” and got “everything she wanted,” a royal author has claimed.

In an interview with Daily Star Online Lady Colin Campbell said she believes Meghan is “an operator” but lovestruck Harry allowed himself to be “played” by the former actress.

The author has written books on Harry’s mother Diana and well as his grandmother the Queen, before turning her attention to his relationship with Meghan – which began in 2016.

Speaking in June, Lady Campbell said:  “I do think Meghan and Prince Harry are in love.

“She played Harry like a piano, hitting the right keys until she got everything she wanted.

“Very quickly on how Meghan was cutting a swathe through Harry’s social life, she didn’t approve of this, she didn’t approve of that, she is an operator.”

Loved up Meghan and Harry began dating in early July 2016 – with the Duke of Sussex once revealing he knew immediately she would be his wife.

Early on in their courtship, they went on a romantic trip to Botswana, and enjoyed a “good five, six months” of just “privacy” and their long term couple status was cemented.

During the very early days of their relationship,  Harry took the unprecedented  step of  attacking the media in a lengthy statement for negative reporting of Meghan.

Lady Campbell told Daily Star Online,  that the first sign of trouble came four days after she wed Harry in May 2018 when the pair  started “cutting deals”.

Meghan and Harry stepped down as senior members of the Royal Family in January 2020.

They’ve since settled in California -where Meghan grew up –  and have signed a megabucks deal with Netflix.

Lady Campbell added: “Meghan is a very dominant personality, who has never been shy of walking into a room and taking control of it.

“She has done that with everybody throughout the whole of her life, and she saw no reason to change when she joined the Royal Family.”

Other royal watchers who claim Meghan has too much influence over her husband include Lady Sasha Swire.

Lady Swire, who is married to ex minister Sir Hugo Spire,  says she predicted trouble ahead for the royal family when the Sussexes first got engaged in 2017 – saying the duchess was “eating the redhead for breakfast” as Harry is “clearly not as clever as she is”.
