Nottingham Huntingdon Street live updates after Royal Mail van crash

A busy Nottingham road has been partially closed after a crash involving a Royal Mail van and a car. Police are currently at the scene in Huntingdon Street in the city centre near the Royal Mail Nottingham City Delivery Office.

The crash was reported at around 3pm on Friday, September 20. Photos from the scene show two vehicles – a Royal Mail van and blue car – significantly damaged.

The car appears to have smashed into a lamppost. Two out of three of the lanes have been blocked on the road near the junction of Nile Street.

Nottingham Travelwise, the city council’s traffic monitoring service, posted on X: “Huntingdon Street (Southbound) at the junction of Nile Street. Emergency services are on scene dealing with an RTC.

“Lane one and two (of three) is blocked while the RTC is being dealt with. Please take extra care if you are travelling through the area.”
