Police allege local couple lied to get Food Stamps (Bennington Banner)

WHITE CREEK, N.Y. — Police arrested a couple Saturday for allegedly lying on an application for Food Stamps. Tracy Bates, 40, and William Bates, 44, were charged with first degree offering a false instrument for filing, a Class E felony, said police.
