A woman and her child were walking on Oakworth Road, Keighley, between 8am and 9am on Thursday, March 6.
She was near the petrol station when she noticed two males walking in the same direction.
As she reached the Royal Mail delivery office, the two men approached her and tried to pull the pram.
Two members of the public walked down the road before they “intervened and helped the victim”.
This distracted the males, who then ran off in the direction of Keighley town centre.
The victim and her daughter were unharmed but left shaken by this incident.
She reported it to West Yorkshire Police on Tuesday (March 11), a spokesperson said.
A crime has been recorded, and Bradford CID are carrying out urgent CCTV and house to house enquiries.
Suspect descriptions
The first suspect is described as an Eastern European male with dark skin, long curly black hair and a short black beard, slim build, around 5ft 10 and was wearing a black Puma tracksuit and white trainers.
The second suspect is described as Eastern European with dark skin, short black hair and clean shaven. He was of slim build, 6ft tall, and was wearing a black jacket, white top and blue jeans.

Detective Inspector Majahid Ashruff of Bradford CID said: “We are treating this incident extremely seriously and are carrying out extensive enquiries to trace those involved.
“It is unclear at this time what the two men’s intentions were but this incident was extremely distressing for the woman and child involved and will obviously cause concern in the local community.
“Our neighbourhood policing team have increased their patrols and there will be a visible policing presence in the area.
“We would appeal for anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone who saw someone fitting the description of the two men involved in the area at the time to contact police.
“We are also keen to speak to the two women who intervened and helped the victim.
“I would also like to encourage people to report incidents to us immediately, so we can take action.”
