Post Office doesn’t yet know how much Island mail displaced

Organisation working with UK counterparts to measure postal backlog

It’s not yet known how much mail from the Island, sent to Europe, Turkey or Canada, is currently displaced.


The Isle of Man Post Office made the decision to suspend services to these destinations after partners Royal Mail and Parcelforce had done the same.


It’s as more countries have closed their borders to the UK following concerns over a more infectious, mutation of Covid-19 detected in Britain.


General Manager for mails Geoff Rickard says they don’t yet know how much mail is currently displaced:
