Record numbers using food stamps (KOAA-TV Colorado Springs – Pueblo)

An alarming statistic in El Paso County. One out of every twelve residents is now on food stamps – 47,620 total clients by the end of May. That record number is expected to get worse before it gets better. Demand for food stamps is up 30% over last year in El Paso County.
