Requests for food stamps, fuel assistance on rise in Petersburg (NBC 12 Richmond)

RICHMOND, VA (NBC12) – Tough economic times are leading an increasing number of Petersburg residents to do something they never dreamed of looking for help from the Department of Social Services. The agency says, requests for benefits like food stamps and fuel assistance are up right now.
