‘Ridiculous!’ Royal Mail warns customers that there will be major postal delays today – ‘What’s up?’
Over the last 24 hours, Royal Mail’s rail and road networks have experienced two delays, causing people in several parts of the UK to wait even longer for their mail.
The Royal Mail’s delivery service has been severely hampered for the past week.
People are complaining about not receiving their mail for days, if not weeks, all over the country.
There are 104 areas that have been impacted by the Christmas backlog and staffing issues caused by Covid.

To move letters and parcels between our distribution hubs, mail processing centers, and delivery offices across the UK, Royal Mail uses air, road, and rail.
Some operations have been delayed in the last 24 hours as of today, Friday 14 January.
Over the last 24 hours, the air network has run on time.
With one exception, a train from the North East Distribution Centre bound for The Princess Royal Distribution Centre was delayed arriving due to a broken-down freight train between Grantham and Peterborough over the last 24 hours.
As a result, some mail sent on Thursday in the North East of England and due to arrive in London and the South East of England today may arrive slightly later than expected.
With one exception, a vehicle from the Preston Mail Centre arrived late into the National Distribution Centre last night due to congestion on the M6 motorway.
As a result, a small amount of mail sent on Thursday to addresses in the BB, FY, LA, and PR postcode areas and due to be delivered today to addresses throughout the UK may arrive later than expected.
“Not all mail was processed or dispatched on time over the last 24 hours,” according to several mail centers, “and as a result, some mail may be delivered slightly later than expected.”

Some mail from the CH, LL, and SY postcode areas was delivered today to addresses across the UK.
Some mail was delivered today to addresses in the AL, EN, HP, LU, SG, and WD postcode areas.
