‘Sort it out!’ Royal Mail enrages residents after 129 postcodes continue to experience delivery delays.

MORE areas in the United Kingdom have been added to the list of Royal Mail delivery offices that are experiencing delays.

The postal service is currently disrupted in 129 areas across the United Kingdom.

“A flight from East Midlands to Exeter was cancelled due to a technical fault with the aircraft,” the website explains, “and mail was transferred to contingency road services.”

“As a result, a small number of letters and parcels sent on Wednesday in North Wales and the North and Midlands regions of England and due to arrive today at addresses in the far South West of England may arrive later than expected.”

“However, due to local issues such as Covid-related self-isolation, high levels of sickness absence, resourcing, or other local factors, this may temporarily not be possible in a small number of local offices.”

“In those cases, we will rotate deliveries to minimize the delay to individual customers,” the website continues.

“We also offer targeted assistance to those offices in order to help them overcome their obstacles.”
