Royal Bank subsidiary to buy Ferris Baker of Washington (The Globe and Mail)

TORONTO — Royal Bank of Canada’s U.S. unit RBC Dain Rauscher Inc. plans to buy U.S. investment dealer Ferris, Baker Watts for an undisclosed sum, a move that will expand the Canadian bank’s U.S. wealth management business.
