Royal Family’s line of succession has changed – and it won’t be long before it happens again

The arrival of two royal babies – and a third on the way – means more changes to the royal line of succession.

The tiny bundles of joy have seen changes in the titles for major royals including Princess Anne and Prince Edward.

Princess Eugenie gave birth to son August in February and he became 11th in the line to the throne.

His arrival meant Prince Edward, his great-uncle, went down a position to number 12, the Mirror reports.

As such all those beneath him have also been knocked down a position.

Princess Anne, the Princess Royal, has gone down to position 15.

Zara Tindall changed the order of succession again last week after giving birth to Lucas on the bathroom floor.

Because of a change in the law, her son is 22nd in line to the throne.

Queen Elizabeth decided to change the rule that meant female heirs would automatically go behind any males born after them.

As such, his sisters Mia and Lena remain in places 20 and 21.

The couple have been spending time in Canada with their son Archie

The arrival of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s second child later this year will once again shake up positions.

The couple revealed they were having a baby girl during the explosive tell-all chat with Oprah Winfrey last month.

Her birth will see her take eighth spot, just behind her older brother Archie, and see everyone else pushed down a place again.

Prince Charles, the Prince of Wales, remains first in line to the throne as the Queen’s son.

Behind him is his son William, the Duke of Cambridge, and then his children in order of their birth; Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

Following them in sixth place is Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex.
