Royal fans go wild over Princess Charlotte’s resemblance to Diana

Royal fans have gone wild over how much Princess Charlotte looks like her late grandmother Princess Diana in a new video.   

The Duke of Cambridge, 40, posted a video to his official Twitter account yesterday ahead of the Euro2022 final in which he and Charlotte shared their support for the Lionesses.

‘We both want to wish the lionesses the best of luck tonight, you’ve done amazingly well in the competition and we’re rooting for you all the way!’ Will exclaimed, before Charlotte chipped in: ‘Good luck, I hope you win. Bye!’

Royal fans rushed to point out the family resemblances, noting how similar Princess Charlotte looks to the Princess of Wales.

One commented: ‘Charlotte is starting to look just like Princess Diana.’

Another wrote: ‘Princess Charlotte = Princess Diana’s looks + Kate’s idiosyncrasy.’

A third added: ‘Awww Princess Charlotte is sooo cute! Her little voice! And wow, she looks like William, Catherine and Diana at the same time! Her smile is all Diana.’

Addressing Prince William, a fourth commented: ‘Beautiful Charlotte, I can see your mum Diana in her, beautiful.’

‘Princess Charlotte is so beautiful like her mother – and Princess Diana,’ another added.

One wrote: ‘Aww, gorgeous!! Charlotte has her Granny’s smile for sure.’  

Prince William, a lifelong Aston Villa fan, has previously revealed that both Prince George and Princess Charlotte are big football fans.

Prince George is said to be an ‘avid football fan’ and has been seen with his parents at England and Aston Villa games, while Charlotte has also been spotted at Norwich games. 

Just last month he met members of the England squad at their St George’s Park training ground in Burton-on-Trent, where he mentioned Charlotte was ‘really good in goal’.

During the visit the royal, who sported an open collar blue suit was gifted with shirts for each of his children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. The shirts appeared to have each of the children’s ages on.

After he was presented with the shirts, the father-of-three commented: ‘Charlotte wants me to tell you she’s really good in goal…a budding star for the future!’

George’s love of football has been no secret, with the royal celebrating birthdays with a sports-themed parties at Kensington Palace and William saying he hopes his oldest son will one day be Villa’s ‘top goal scorer’.

The video comes as the Cambridge family prepare to move to Adelaide Cottage on Windsor Estate this summer.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, are reportedly set to uproot their family from Kensington, west London, to Adelaide Cottage in Berkshire in order to be closer to the Queen.

Re-erected in 1831, the Cambridge’s new Grade II-listed retreat is just a short walk from St George’s Chapel and Windsor Castle, and sits proudly on the 655-acre royal estate in Berkshire.
