Royal Mail delivers record number of parcels

It delivered an extra 117 million packages as confined consumers turned to online shopping after the closure of non-essential retail on 23 March.

Amazon accounted for a large proportion of packages, but Royal Mail said deliveries were still up 64% after the etailer was excluded.
