Royal Mail issues advice on festive post ahead of Christmas deadlines

AN early reminder has been issued about the last recommended posting dates for Christmas mail ahead of preparations for the festive season.

Details have been conformed by Royal Mail, which is encouraging customers to order their online gifts and shopping well in advance and to post their festive greetings early.

Mail being sent second class should be posted no later than Monday, December 19, while the last recommended date for sending first-class items is Wednesday, December 21.

The deadline for mail being posted through Royal Mail’s ‘special delivery guaranteed’ service is Thursday, December 22.
