Royal Mail says ‘sorry’ as thousands still left unable to track their parcels

Royal Mail has issued an apology due to its tracking systems going offline. The technical issues continue to affect customers with many still left unable to see where their deliveries are.

If you’re struggling to find your parcel this morning you are not alone. It appears some gremlins at the Royal Mail are affecting the ability to see where packages are and when they will be delivered. The issues began earlier today and are still ongoing with hundreds of reports still flooding in from users that the tracking systems are down and not working.

In fact, outage monitor Down Detector is currently showing around 600 reports from customers with no sign that things are being fixed.

Many furious users have now taken to X (formerly Twitter) to complain about the problems with one called Derpina saying: “Royal Mail tracking down. worst birthday gift ever.”

“Hi, is there tracker down? I am unable to track a parcel and tracking hasn’t updated for 10 days,” added Rippers.

In response to complaints, Royal Mail has now posted an apology and explanation for the issues.

“We’re very sorry but due to a technical issue, we’re unable to track items, including via our internal tracking system,” Royal Mail confirmed.

“Therefore, we’re unable to provide you with any updates at this time. We’re working to fix this as a matter of urgency. Apologies once again.”
