Royal Mint’s Paddington Bear is available now and already selling out fast

One month ago, it was announced that Royal Mint will release a range of 50p coins in honour of beloved children’s character Paddington Bear.

Today, the coin enters circulation – and 65% of them have already been reserved.

Each of the coins depict Paddington Bear at London’s iconic St Paul’s Cathedral. The range is available to shop today from the Royal Mint’s website: www.royalmint.com/

The full range includes a Silver Proof Coin, a Gold Proof Coin and a Paddington-themed Collector Album.

These new designs follow on from the release of the 2018 coins that marked the 60th anniversary of Paddington Bear, who was first created in 1958 by Michael Bond.

The Royal Mint website also has printable 50p coin images of Paddington at various London landmarks including Buckingham Palace and the Great Tower of London.

They are encouraging young fans of the beloved bear to add their own colour and share them on social media using the tag #PaddingtonCoins
