Smokers stockpiling cigarettes before tax hike
Peoria Journal Star The owners say the state is restricting the distribution of tax stamps that must be attached to cigarette packages before they are sold at retail. The Illinois General Assembly this spring raised the state cigarette tax by $1, to $1.98 per pack. |
