State gets $2.9 million to help process food stamps (Lexington Herald-Leader)

FRANKFORT — The state is getting $2.9 million from the federal government to overhaul and streamline its food stamp program. The funding comes as the number of people in Kentucky on food stamps reached an all-time high in June, state officials said Tuesday.
