Steelton Post Office considered for closure (The Press and Journal)

In 1871, a post office was created in Baldwin, a community along the Susquehanna where steel was made. Because another town named Baldwin already existed with a post office, the new post office, in what is now Steelton, was called ‘Steel Works.’
