Temeculas first post office to mark 150th anniversary (The Press-Enterprise)

The 150th anniversary of the opening of Temecula’s first post office will be marked this month with a series of events. Established in 1859 at what is now Margarita Road and Temecula Parkway, the post office marked an important milestone in Temecula’s development as a community. It was one of only seven post offices south of the Tehachapi Mountains.
