Liverpool is set to be battered by outbreaks of rain and strong winds.
The Met Office has forecasted for it to be an “unsettled” day in the city thanks to the weather. Today, Tuesday, January 3, there will be strong winds and rain, according to meteorologists.
However, the Met Office said it will clear to “bring brighter weather briefly” but patchy rain will return by the afternoon, with more widely wet and windy conditions by evening. Maximum temperature 10C.

The strong winds and rain are set to carry on for much of the night, although turning patchier by Wednesday morning. A few clearer spells by dawn, and a milder night than recently.
For Wednesday, the Met Office said: “A day of sunshine and showers, though these mainly confined to the north and near the coasts. Winds gradually easing through the day, and feeling mild. Maximum temperature 11C.”
The longer forecast for Thursday to Saturday said it will be c loudy with further outbreaks of rain and strong winds on Thursday. It is predicted to be turning brighter and calmer for a time on Friday, before further rain and strong winds arrive into the weekend.
