Vermont may expand eligibility for food stamps (Brattleboro Reformer)

BURLINGTON – Gov. James Douglas wants to make 30,000 more Vermont families eligible for food stamps. The plan is an addition to the Governor’s Fuel and Food Partnership, a collaboration of public and private partners trying to help Vermonters deal with rising costs of fuel and food.
