West Ham owners are ranked fourth wealthiest in the Premier League with an estimated combined wealth of $13.2 billion (£10.5bn)T
Hammers wealthiest shareholder worth £7.4 billion
West Ham’s wealthiest shareholder is Daniel Kretinsky, with a net worth of £7.4 billion, according to Forbes. David Sullivan’s net wealth is £1.2bn according to the most recent Sunday Times Rich List, with reports in the US claiming the reclusive Tripp Smith is worth around $1.25 billion (£1bn) after re-investing his stake of GSO Capital Partners he sold to Blackstone in 2008.
The remaining Gold Family are said to be worth up to £650m valuing Ann Summers, their property portfolio and 25% of West Ham. In comparison, the Harris family of Alba Electronics fame are said to be worth £200m, with former West Ham chairman Terry Brown having a net worth of around £50m.
Net worth does not relate to liquid cash, and around £800m of the combined is the shareholding in West Ham itself.
Much of Kretinsky’s wealth is held in his Czech energy group and blue chip stock holding of many companies such as Royal Mail and Sainsbury’s.
