Why Americans Should Go Postal Over The Postal Service Default

It should be no real surprise that the U.S. Post Office is undergoing a $3 billion round of cutbacks. They have been the billion dollar darling of Federal underwriting for over a decade—having lost $20 billion in the last four years alone. How long did they expect this to go on? Surely, the downing of a long string of billion dollar airlines, banks, and other entities sent some signals?
